C62_System

C62 System is the name of a chipset developed by Hudson Soft which was used in NEC's video game systems and derivatives. These chips include:

  • HuC6280 ("DR. PEPPER") : CPU
  • HuC6270 ("7UP") : Video Display Controller (VDC)
  • HuC6260 ("TEKKANON") : Video Color Encoder (VCE)

This is the core chipset. The SuperGrafx is known to have the 'A' revisions of the CPU (HuC6280A) and VDC (HuC6270A).

  • HuC6202 ("PATTY") : Video Priority Controller (VPC)

This additional chip was added to the SuperGrafx.
